20 Months

I can't believe it. 20 Months. Amelia Josephine you are 20 months old.

As I type this I am seeing a direct correlation between the age of my baby girl and the absence of myself from the blogging world. So much has happened in the past 20 months and at some point I might fill you in on the great void but not now. No this post is to tell you of the wonderful fun things Amelia is doing now. A humble brag if you will...and if you won't, well then too bad.

Amelia, my sweet, kind, funny, stubborn, beautiful baby girl. You have brought so much joy and laughter to our little family. You do so may things everyday that make me stop and smile and say "you are so cute!"

Here are some things you do:
  • Saying "bless you" in your tiny sweet voice after any cough, sneeze, and (pardon me) toot.
  • Saying "I don't want too" while you run away, sometimes laughing as you go and sometimes screaming.
  • Saying "I want you" when you want Daddy or I to hold you.
  • The way you hug your babies around their necks and hum and sing to them.
  • When you hide behind the big white pillows on the couch and giggle.
  • I love watching your little mind work when you are figuring out how things work.
  • Your mischievous grin.
  • You give the absolute sweetest snuggles, eskimo kisses and butterfly kisses.
  • You dance and sing all the time and love to dance and sing with mama and dada.
  • You wave and say "hi" to everyone.

Some of the things you did this year:
- you turned one! This was a big event in our house with a BIG party and lots of family and friends.

- you started walking at about 13 months
- we went to the zoo ALOT!

- you had your first stomach bug that lasted about 8 hours and was NO fun!
- you say SO MANY WORDS! I can't even begin to list them out because you really just repeat everything.
- you are so busy and love to read. We read all day long it seems.

There is so much more you do and some of those things drive your daddy and I quite crazy. You are very stubborn and strong-willed. You push boundaries all day, every day. Discipline is becoming more and more of our daily routine. Sometimes you respond so well to direction and other times I see you set your little jaw and try to stare me down. Those days are the rough ones and we usually can't wait for daddy to get home.

Speaking of daddy you absolutely LOVE your daddy. Watching you and your daddy play together is one of my favorite things.  You love to "help" him with whatever he is doing. You are running to him more and more when you have an "ow-ee" or if you need "hep".

You are such a wonder, baby girl and we can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for you! Mommy & Daddy love you Amelia Jo!

Inspired and overwhelmed

I've been so inspired by recent friends emerging from the blogging grave in the past month that I've decided to blog once again.

I'm a tad overwhelmed by the amount of time that has passed since my last post (21 months...and for some reason all I can think about is "holy smokes! That's how long an elephant is pregnant!" Darn Amelia and her love of Animal Planet) so to stave off the wave of words rolling around in my brain I'm just going to post some pictures of Amelia and try to sort out my thoughts.

I'll get it together before we meet again. I promise.

And if I don't, well then free free to skip my rambling posts in your feed.

Bath time is a favorite time in the Beswick household.

Being outside just might surpass the joy and fun of bath time.

Jury's still out on if meeting Santa was any fun at all (Although she talks big about "Santy" all the time).

So there you go.
