Giving Thanks...

There are so many things I am thankful for but rarely acknowledge. I sat down the other night to make a list and realized how blessed by the Lord I am!

     - My Salvation - Thank you Lord for your awesome gift!

     - My Husband - I think I have the best one out there...sorry ladies :)

     - Our Family - I love being part of such a close family (this includes my in-laws too. I know that not everyone has a great relationship with theirs and I am so thankful that I do!)

     - Our New Church Family - We have been so blessed by their warmth and kindness.

     - Our current house and the Gibson Family - A huge blessing that is making it possible for us to save tons of money to hopefully purchase our own soon!

     - My husband's ministry - He is doing what he  feels called by the Lord to do and after 3 years in seminary I am thankful that He is working full-time and I don't have to! :)

     - All of our old and new friends - We have so many that we love and are sad that they live so far away but we have also been blessed with new friends here and we look forward to getting to know better!

     - That we live in such a beautiful place - When we found out we were moving to Colorado I was so excited to get to live near the mountains. I love getting to see them everyday and have really enjoyed the recent snowfall...in fact it is snowing right now!

There are so many more things I am thankful to God for but I wanted to close with this verse:

Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name:
Make known His deeds among the peoples.
1 Chronicles 16:8

Oh Deer....

We had three gentlemen visit us again last night

They hung out with us for a little while and then moved on to the
neighbors house.

They have been coming pretty much every evening for the past week
sometimes they fight and sometimes they just lay around and do nothing.

The High Life

Hello everyone. We trust that you are all doing well. We also trust that you have been waiting for a new post. And we are so very sorry that it has taken so very long to provide that new post. As many of you know, we are now living in Colorado. A lot has happened since our move, but I'll just stick to the high points that directly relate to life here in the "Rocky State."

1. Jaime is currently unemployed. She had a brief stint working at a drop off day care before she realized that she "didn't like other people's kids." I'm hoping that I avoid coming to the same conclusion, as that could jeopardize my job.
2. We spent some time with our good friend Alex and his family in "Big D" (Denver) a few days ago. We ate pizza and found a good gift for our other good friend "Bowz."
3. We watched the classic movie "Teen Witch" on dvd. For the few of you who haven't seen this movie, it's a must see. This movie has it all: brilliant dialogue, a beautiful love story, cutting edge musical numbers, and a surprise ending that will having you talking for weeks. I don't want to give away too much, but let's just say that being the most popular girl isn't everything Louise had dreamed. For a taste of the magic of this movie, just click here: www.youtube.com/watch (you won't regret it)
4. We also watched "Life as We Know It." While it was clearly attempting to do many of the same things as "Teen Witch," we both felt that it simply fell short.
5. I bought 2 new pairs of pants (Dockers) from JC Penny. Despite being in the men's section, I found myself using the same dressing room (separated by a wall, of course) as a woman. Only in Colorado, I guess.

All in all, things have been pretty crazy here in Colorado. There are plenty of other things that I could report, but I think you get the picture. I'll be sure to do a better job keeping you all updated on the High Life here in Colorado. We love you all dearly and we hope that you are doing well. And if you have the "itch" to see some snow, come on out to see us. There's always a place for you here in the Rocky State. Happy H-Ween, everyone.

Weekend....

We have lots planned this weekend and I am very excited.

Tonight we are going to Churchill Downs after Dark with the Rambos.

In the morning I plan on attending the Bearcreek Farmer's Market.

I will try not to buy every flower there.

and then as I mentioned before we will go Jack Fry's to celebrate our third anniversary.

Now what, do you ask, am I going to do with that whole afternoon on Saturday?

Spend lots of time enjoying this....
and not this....

Hope you have a great weekend!!!!

We had a very busy weekend trying to get everything ready for family and traveling. It was a crazy couple of days but so much fun to spend time with Benjamin who didn't have Hebrew to study!

On Saturday evening we went out with our friends, the Rambo's and ate yummy sushi at Asahi and saw Babies which was fantastic! (**There is some cultural nudity so please be advised**)

On Sunday we took things a little bit slower in honor of Mother's Day and I made these yummy sandwiches. (I added peppers and cheese). I love Ree. Her recipes are so yummy!

Oh and for fun I used a gift card a bought this pillow...I am in love!
