2011...Here we go!

Well it is a cold day here in Colorado, -14 right now but weather.com says it feels like -41...I'll take their word for it since I have no plans whatsoever to even look outside for fear of frostbite (and now I am going to turn up the heat b/c just thinking about it has made a very cold!)

Anyway with my work done for the day I though it would be a good time to post The Beswick 2011 Must Do List...so we are a month late...big deal :)

So here they are, in no particular order:

Hike to the top of Pike's Peak - Read a new book every month - Climb the Incline - Buy a House - Go on a camping trip just for fun - Cook a new recipe out of one of my many cookbooks twice a month - Blog more (just for you Jon!) - Visit a place we've never been - Save more, Spend less - Run the Boulder Boulder in May - Learn to do something new

So that's it. Our 2011 goals. Not very exciting but just exciting enough for me to want to do them.

Here's what Benjamin has to add to the list:

Go to the annual Team X Retreat in February - Blog more - Keep my beard until the Spring - Read more - Have dinner with Elbowz and Emmers - Hug more - Canoe trip with Leggs - Lift 800 pounds over my head

Hope you all had a Merry Holiday Season and Best Wishes for the New Year!

We had a very busy weekend trying to get everything ready for family and traveling. It was a crazy couple of days but so much fun to spend time with Benjamin who didn't have Hebrew to study!

On Saturday evening we went out with our friends, the Rambo's and ate yummy sushi at Asahi and saw Babies which was fantastic! (**There is some cultural nudity so please be advised**)

On Sunday we took things a little bit slower in honor of Mother's Day and I made these yummy sandwiches. (I added peppers and cheese). I love Ree. Her recipes are so yummy!

Oh and for fun I used a gift card a bought this pillow...I am in love!

Recipes and Reviews

Hey everyone!!! Boy has it been too long since I last updated this old thing. And from the looks of all of those comments on my last post, I suppose it is pretty obvious that there are a lot of you who have been eagerly waiting for this. Sorry to make you wait for this long. Now, there were a LOT of questions that were raised from my last post - and if I don't get to all of them, please forgive me and just shoot me a friendly little reminder.

First of all, a lot of you "foodies" out there have been asking me to post some pictures of some things that Jaimers and I have been eating recently. So, as promised, here are 2 pictures. The one on the right is my famous spaghetti recipe (I call it "Spaghetti Red"). It was DELICIOUS. The one on the bottom left is called Orange Chicken. And it, too, was DELICIOUS. And you can go ahead and forget about asking for either of the recipes - because these lips are sealed.

Now for that Harry Potter review...***Spoiler Alert!!!!!!! (if you haven't seen the Harry Potter movie, you may not want to read what I have to say as it may give away some key details to the latest film). Well, as you all know from my previous posts about previous Harry Potter movies, I am a pretty big fan and was pretty excited about the latest addition. If you recall from my review of the last Harry Potter film, you may remember that my only complaints were that there was a lack of kissing scenes in Hogwarts and that Dumbledore didn't die. Well apparently the makers of the Harry Potter films heard my complaints as well as the complaints of the other fans and definitely delivered on this one. Needless to say, I was pretty thrilled with the end result. Overall, I would have to give this film a medium to medium-high rating.

As always, things here in Kentucky continue to move at high speeds. Aside from Harry Potter, both Jaimers and myself have been keeping pretty busy with all of the really interesting and exciting things that make up our day to day. And things look to just be getting busier next week as I am once again out of class and back to the life of a Remanufactured Ink and Toner salesman. Needless to say, I am planning on trying to catch up on some extra sleep over the weekend so as to be prepared.

I hope and trust that you are all doing well (especially you, Elbowz). I would type more, but it is getting super-duper late and I need to get to bed. So, goodnight for now, friends. Both Jaime and I miss you all far more than you could possibly ever understand. Look for a possible "art corner" addition in my next post along with the lastest news. But, until next time, "there is always an extra space here for you with me and Jaime in Louisville, KY."

PS - I made a great error in my last post that has been brought to my attention. "Legs" is actually spelled "Leggs." I'm sorry for all of the confusion and hurt that I may have caused.
